FUTURE LEADERS LAB
The Future Leaders Lab is poised to transform the lives of underprivileged youth by fostering leadership, enhancing cognitive abilities, and providing educational support. By collaborating with strategic partners, establishing youth-led initiatives, and engaging stakeholders, this initiative aims to create lasting impacts in beneficiary schools and their communities.
With the unwavering commitment of all stakeholders, 2025 will be a defining year for this project, empowering the next generation of leaders, advancing community development, and driving sustainable growth for JCI Lagos Metropolitan, making a meaningful difference one leader at a time.
OBJECTIVES
Equip underprivileged youth in public primary and secondary schools with essential leadership skills through talks, mentoring, and interactive sessions led by experienced professionals.
Improve students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by introducing cognitive-enhancing games and activities in collaboration with Chess in Slums.
Provide academic guidance, career exploration, and personal development sessions to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Establish JCI Youth Clubs in beneficiary schools to foster a culture of leadership, responsibility, and community engagement among students.

Future Leaders Lab at Surulere Senior Secondary School
On March 19, 2025, JCI Lagos Metropolitan successfully held the maiden edition of The Future Leaders Lab at Surulere Senior Secondary School.
The event marked the inauguration of the JCI Junior Club, with its first set of executives elected through a voting process:
- President: Abubakar Ummusalna (SSS 2)
- Vice President: Adebanjo Lateef (SS2)
- Treasurer: Halimah Sulaimo (SSS 1)
- General Secretary: Adeniji Boluwatife (SSS 2)
The event was facilitated by esteemed leaders of JCI Lagos Metropolitan, including:

We were honored to have Mrs. Jones O. F., Assistant Chief Education Officer from Lagos State Education District IV, in attendance.
The event featured insightful talks on personal development, leadership development, and community development, providing an educational and enriching experience for all attendees.
